Due diligence and the search for truth in the of enforced disappearances of Latin American women: An optic from the perspective of international law

Abstract

This work aims to briefly expose the general aspects of forced disappearance and women as a group in vulnerable situations. This way also, it seeks to analyze the standards that there must fulfill the investigation of this crime, the due diligence and impartiality with which it is necessary to act when the involved ones are women, of conformity to the prescribed for the Convention of Belém do Pará and the jurisprudence of the Inter-American Court of Human rights. Finally, it will study the right to the truth and the obligation to investigate as reparation measures for this type of case.
