The aim of this paper is to scale the cultural area in line with the contexts of complexity of our society. To do so I take the notion of social conflicts and their specific ability to bring to society, certain communications that affect these mismatches. As a starting point, according to the sociological literature, social conflicts existing in Latin America are developed based on two processes: The loss of centrality of the symbolic and imaginary modern social institutions (identities of class, political and cultural common); The emergence of themes and objectives derived from the classically understood cultural dimension (recognition, diversity, environment, sexual minorities and so on.). The emergence of these settings and new conflicts can be understood in its cultural dimension both in the subjects that are its target for the kind of processing performing symbolic of the political, privileged space for the analysis of the current social complexity.
