This works is an attempt to establish a different point of view for the delimitation and study of reformulation discourse markers esdecir and o sea employing as starting-point some elements of the Metaoperational Grammar Analysis. The main objectives of this study are: on the one hand, to show the abscence of a clear delimitation theuses of es decir and o sea uses as reformulation discourse markers in Spanish, and, on the other hand, to delimit two different kinds ofreformulation, based on relationships that operate within the axis of information and the relationship between utterer and utterance.
