From a reconstruction of a list of green public spaces in the historical center-outskirts of Santiago, the patrimony of green public spaces to the actual service of the community for spontaneous recreational use is determined. Thought is given to the confusion on the urban analysis, the permanence of some semantic barriers, the forms of soil use change and the lack of reference to the planning instruments
